The X-Fade project was aimed at fusing music from disappearing cultures with emerging electronic sounds of our new culture.
This way RNA (Recombinant Natural Assimilators) want to open a window to the emotions and expressions of these people living their lives according to age old traditions.
The original recordings were derived from a series of television documentaries called “Disappearing Worlds”, which ran on Granada Television in the United Kingdom.

The X-Fade Project was created by Istvan Leel-Össy and Al Williams (†-2020)
They started creating the project after discovering a collection of rare recordings from very different cultures.
Together they created a new layer of electronic music to bring the spirit of the original performances to our culture.
